Serving US customers

Winter-ready mobile grooming vans for US groomers

ProVanWorks builds mobile dog grooming vans and trailers in Langley, British Columbia, a short drive from the Lynden, Washington border crossing. Our closest US customers are in Washington State, from Bellingham and Everett to Seattle, Bellevue and Tacoma, and we serve groomers across the rest of the United States too. Every van is built for Canadian winters, which also suits Spokane, the northern Rockies, the Upper Midwest and New England.

Do you build grooming vans for Washington State?

Yes. Washington is ProVanWorks' nearest US market. Our Langley shop is minutes from the Aldergrove crossing into Lynden, about 45 minutes from Bellingham and roughly two hours from downtown Seattle, plus the border wait. Western Washington winters are wet and mild with occasional snow and ice, much like Vancouver's, so we build those vans the same way we build for the Lower Mainland. Eastern Washington, around Spokane and the Tri-Cities, gets colder, drier winters and gets thicker insulation. See our page for Seattle and Western Washington.

Why buy a grooming van built in Canada?

A grooming van built for a Canadian winter is built for the coldest parts of the United States too. Every ProVanWorks grooming van has an insulated cargo area and in-floor and in-wall heat, fed by a small diesel, gas or electric heater under the seat, plus heat exchangers around the work area. The water reservoir and auxiliary batteries sit in a utility area inside the heated van, so hot water keeps working at the tub in very low winter temperatures. Groomers in Minneapolis, Fargo, Spokane or Burlington face the same January problems we design for in Edmonton and Winnipeg.

The vans also handle summer. Two fans run in the cargo area, and the front fan also runs the air conditioning. The mobile grooming van page covers the full layout.

Can I pick up my van near the Washington border?

Yes. Our shop in Langley is minutes from the Aldergrove crossing into Lynden, Washington. Groomers in Washington, Oregon and the rest of the Pacific Northwest can visit the shop, see a van being built, and drive their finished van home. Email info@provanworks.com to book a visit.

Do you ship grooming vans to other US states?

Yes. ProVanWorks serves customers across the United States. We quote delivery with the build, based on distance and season. Read how delivery works. We'll walk you through the border paperwork when you order.

What does a US groomer need to know about EV charging?

The auxiliary battery bank in a ProVanWorks grooming van charges from Level 2 EV chargers, the same public chargers used by electric cars across the US. A lunch stop near a charger tops up the batteries for the afternoon, and solar panels are available as an add-on. See power and EV charging. The van uses the J1772 connector, the standard plug on most public Level 2 chargers in the US.

How do I get a price in US dollars?

Yes. US customers can have their quote in US or Canadian dollars, whichever they prefer. Email info@provanworks.com with your state, the van or trailer you want (diesel, gas or electric), and how many dogs you groom in a day.

Frequently asked questions

Does ProVanWorks sell grooming vans to customers in the United States?

Yes. ProVanWorks serves US customers, especially in Washington State and the Seattle area, with pickup at our Langley, BC shop near the Washington border or delivery quoted with the build.

Will a Canadian-built grooming van handle a Minnesota winter?

ProVanWorks vans are designed around Canadian winters, including prairie cities like Winnipeg and Edmonton, which see cold similar to Minnesota and North Dakota. The insulated, heated cargo area and the heated utility area for water and batteries address the same problems.
