# Van roof fan and A/C installs for Maple Ridge

ProVanWorks installs roof vent fans, rooftop A/C and battery-powered A/C in vans from Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows at our shop in Langley, across the Golden Ears Bridge. We fit them to camper vans, work vans and grooming vans from other builders, and a van is usually at the shop for 1 to 2 days.

## How far is the ProVanWorks shop from Maple Ridge?

For most Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows van owners, the shop is a short drive over the Golden Ears Bridge. That bridge is the direct crossing to Langley and saves going around through Coquitlam and over the Port Mann. Plan one trip to drop the van off and another to pick it up once the install is finished and tested.

## Why do Maple Ridge vans need a roof fan or A/C?

Maple Ridge sits further up the Fraser Valley than the coastal cities, and summer days there are often warmer than in Vancouver. A trades van parked at a new build in Albion or Silver Valley, or at an acreage out toward Whonnock, can sit in the sun for hours, and a closed metal van gets much hotter inside than the air around it. A roof fan vents that heat so the cargo area is not baking by the afternoon.

Camper vans from Maple Ridge are close to Golden Ears Provincial Park and Alouette Lake, which makes short trips easy. A roof fan keeps a van comfortable for sleeping on a warm night, and a rooftop unit suits sites with hookups. Mobile groomers have a different problem: the rural routes here have long gaps between stops, so the van needs A/C that runs from its own batteries while it is parked at a client's place. ## Does a Maple Ridge van need a roof fan in winter?

Yes. Maple Ridge is colder and snowier than most of Metro Vancouver, and a cold van roof is where moisture condenses. A camper slept in on a cold night, or a work van full of wet boots and snowy gear, can have water dripping from the ceiling by morning. Over a winter, that damp gets into the insulation and behind the panels. Running the roof vent fan for a while pushes the moist air out and keeps the inside of the van drier.

## How much does a fan or A/C install cost for a Maple Ridge van?

ProVanWorks quotes each fan or A/C install by email, because the price depends on the unit, the roof and the wiring the van needs. Email info@provanworks.com with the year, make and model, the roof height, photos of the roof and ceiling, what you want installed and what batteries the van has.
